I bought some sunday to give them a try. How do you eat them? They tasted allright, kind of like pumpkin seeds. But a little to bland to eat by themselves.

Here is a simplified Indian-style lentil recipe:
Wash your lentils - it gets rid of the starchy stuff that will otherwise form a scummy layer on the top of the dish.
Add some oil to a saucepan and sautee some onions. Add some chopped up garlic too if you like. Chop up some tomatoes and add and stir around until the tomatoes get liquefied.
Add your lentils and add enough water to cover. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat and add salt, curry powder (to be precise, the spice to use is called "garam masala." You should be able to get it any any Indian grocery store, but generic curry powder will do in a pinch). You can also add some red chili powder if you want.
Cover and leave alone for 30-45min. The lentils will cook and become soft and will absorb most of the water. Enjoy as a side dish to brown rice.
