:agree: Particularly, if the eggs are being eaten first thing in the morning, it is important to allow the protein to reach the system ASAP. 6 eggs of fat (over 30 gms of fat) is a lot first thing in the morning.Originally posted by ShibbyThe point of taking the yolks out is to reduce the fat and keep the protien absorbtion rate fast.

The first thing I do in the morning is drink a protein shake and a glass of orange juice (unless I'm not eating carbs that day). Then after I shower, shave, get dressed etc I eat my first real meal. Egg whites by themselves are a pretty lackluster protein source IMO. I don't just eat eggs for breakfast either, I might eat them 3 different times in the same day.Originally posted by ShibbyThe point of taking the yolks out is to reduce the fat and keep the protien absorbtion rate fast.

I completely understand what you are talking about. This guy though dosn't use protien shakes and he was asking for our opinions on eggs vs cottage cheese. So I was just giving an answer to the context given.Originally posted by ControlThe first thing I do in the morning is drink a protein shake and a glass of orange juice (unless I'm not eating carbs that day). Damn, I didn't even read the part about no whey protein. I get about 100 to 200 grams of protein per day from whey...
