  • Lean Cuisines and SmartOnes Microwave Food!

is it healthy to have a diet which consists of just Lean Cuisines meals?

I'm a student at a college, and my options are to make my own food, order out, go to restraunts, or pay for a campus meal plan which costs $1500 a semester. I weightlift and I plan on playing basketball next semester (not for the school).

I'm asking if someone can live off of eating like 6 Lean Cuisine meals a day everyday. In addition, I would be having protein shakes/low fat-weight gainer.

Sure you can live off of it - however you won't be supporting a "bodybuilding" lifestyle with a diet like that. Also - why in the hell do you always ask questions like this?

From what I have seen of those meals, yes, you will get your protein for bobybuilding from them.

However, they are only about 300 or so cals each. That is not even close to enough for a bobybuilder; 6X300 = 1800 cals. You should be getting in the range of at least 2500 to 3500 depending on your goals (and perhaps alot more then that even, it depends on your height, weight and goals). So, yes, you can use them like you would use a protein shake; as an addition to the rest of the food you eat. But if you only eat them your not going to get the cals you need to grow.

Protein alone does not make you grow; you need the other nutrients as well.

tru. i just wrote the thread the day i had the idea without thinking it over much. but ya, def not enough calories. although along with the 1800 comes the 400-500 from juice or milk. then i got the whey gainer and protein powders that i get another 500 from a day, and then MuscleMilk shake before bed, which i think is like 300. damn never added up cals with the shakes in there. but still, i dont think they make for good everyday meals. too much sodium too which i am already high in.

If you can't even cook your own foods and are counting your milk and juice (which you really shouldn't even be drinking) for calories then your obviously aren't serious about bodybuilding. Maybe you need to rethink your priorities.
Not to mention you start the dumbest threads I've ever read, with 16 or your 23 posts as starting threads. Do you ever use the search button up there before you ask some of this crap?
