  • I hate cottage cheese

Well the title says it all. I've tried every way I can think of to get some cottage cheese down before bed but I cant stand any of them. I've been drinking some nighttime protein mixes with casein but I was wondering if there were any real food alternatives because I like to change it up and not rely on powder all the time. And, by the way, cinnamon kicks ass in the crappy chalky casein powder.

Eat it and learn to like it...

cottage cheese isn't a must have bodybuilding food... i hate it and never eat it anymore. I usually will either have a casein shake, cook a couple eggs, or eat a can of tuna before bed. If bulking, I'll also have a scoop of natty pb.

I agree - I wasn't saying he "HAD" to have it - I just don't understand why people bitch about it?

All he had to do was search around a little instead of dedicating yet another thread to "How much I hate cottage cheese"...

Cuz it tastes like shit.....that's why. Who cares if that's the thread he started, he's basically just looking for some more alternatives to slow dissolving protein sources, answer or don't answer, that simple......I've made a post like this as well with little responses...

Mix in some sugar-free/carb free pudding powder and blend it.

Alternatively, put a spoonful in your mouth and swallow without chewing. That's what I do.

Would this be a better answer for you?

Eat it and learn to like it...

                  OR

Don't eat it and use the search button to find similar posts that others have made in regards to this same topic (I believe that LMG made a thread in regards to this not that long ago and received about 3-4 different replacement ideas for a light night snack).

                    :agree:

Just don't want someone getting a bad feeling about the board because someone's response to their question seems kind of stand offish.

Great point - Rockiller - I was just busting your balls bro - don't worry about it. You've had other good questions etc so don't take it personally :D!

get some smuckers sugar-free jelly and have a tablespoon of cc with a tablespoon of jelly. I don't really know what's in the jelly, probably the same chemically altered maltodextrin that's in Splenda...but Smuckers I think actually sells packets (well, bowls) of cottage cheese and fruit dip so you can eat both with a spoon and enjoy

personally, I like it, but that's just me

I put it on top of corn cakes (similar to rice cakes). Not bad at all.

Corn cakes aren't similar to rice cakes, they're much better.
Some people just don't know anything about food do they?:-)
