  • When to take Whey

Hello everyone I just got whey and I will start doing it on monday when I work out. I just wanted to ask when exactly should I take it? Before or after a work out. Plus can I take it on the days I don't work out?

Directions: Add one level scoop to 6 ounces of water, milk or juice. Stir, shake or blend for 20 secondsd or until completely dispersed, then enjoy! For maximum results, take 1 scoop before and 1 scoop after workouts.

Pre and Post, it is a supplement to a good diet, not a substitute.

Avoid taking whey in the middle of the day. Whey contains two types of amino acids, Glucogenic aminco acids and ketogenic. The former are quickly and efficiently converted to glucose, great when exercising. However, consuming whey during rest may cause a sharp rise in plasma insulin, and can cause it to be stored in fat cells.

Ketogenic, is used for latent fueling and for tissue building.

During the day, you can consume a egg and vegetable protein if a solid meal is unavailable.

On my off days I consume aprox 40grams of whey with 1 cup of raw oats first thing in the morning.

Thats fine, I assume it just means in the middle of a day when you arent doing anything. For example: I usually have some whey during the day even on my off days when all I'm doing is sitting in my office for 8-9 hours. I'm probably going to cut it out those days.
