  • Huge late night hunger???

    Lately, I've been waking up at about 2 in the morning starving. I've been like this for 2 weeks now basically cleaning out the kitchen. I eat at least 8 eggs plus steak or 1 lb. ground beef, salsa and hot sauce on everything, protein shake, and peanut butter. It's like 12 in the morning now and I'm eating as I type this. Is this normal???

    You are not alone bro - I just fought the urge and broke out some casein powder and made my own version of chocolate "pudding" though...

      I love the casein pudding!! Great cutting late night treat.

      I used to make a shake to drink at 2am--basically a late night MRP with casein protein, some low GI carbs and some fats. It's definitely normal, but you gotta watch what craving you give in to. I have Cadbury dairy milk with caramel next to my bed right now, which doesn't help with the cravings! I'm gonna go eat some salmon to try to head off the cravings.

        Well thank god I'm not the only freak hehe. I try to stay away from carbs at night as much as possible though. Sometime I might take a slice of whole wheat bread which is only like 10 carbs and toast it with some peanut butter on it. I get mad cravings for spicy food though more at night than during the day which doesn't make sense. My girlfriend thought I was on drugs one night because I had the grill going early in the morning outside with some filets.. lol
