Based on the fact that you "think" your BMR is 2000 calories I can already say that you haven't really done any homework. Your stats should dictate a much higher BMR maintenance level BUT if you're going for lean gains - and assuming you "think" your BMR is 2000c then... that is way too many calories and too many supplemental meals - just at a glance you're easily pushing 3000 calories before you eat your filet sandwich. Have you even bothered to accurately plan anything out or are you just winging it?

You've been around here long enough for me to have formed the opinion that this is what you typically do - you wing everything. I know that you are more capable of figuring these things out but for some reason you don't. Why exactly is that?

          ok...

          But....

I don't think you have factored in the other 700-800 calories taken into account for the thermic food index and activity factors etc......

Your meals are a bit confusing to me. You have pretty high carbs in some of the meals and absolutely none in other meals. Also, there are virtually no sources of fat, which is important for gaining mass for several reasons.

You guys are being a bit harsh. He put a lot more thought into his diet then most ppl who show up on this site and his BMR is close to 2000.

He didnt calculate Harris Bennidict for engery expendature. Who does it but hand? Use an online calculator. http://www.geocities.com/arelliotness/harris-elliot.xls

I do put thought into my meal but when I wan't to gain, it pisses me off so much so I calculate what I usually eat and just tweak it by adding thing inbetween weither or not thats the best idea but gaining sucks! I did gain a pound so I'm 186 now instead of 185 but big fuckin deal. So in other words it's gonna take like 3 or 4 weeks to gain a pound?? It pisses me off. Today and yesterday I had a little change in what I ate and actually I think I that pound I gained already... go figure... Here was my meals for the day...

10am - The usual 2 whole eggs + 6 egg whites, 1 piece of whole wheat toast, water instead of OJ, 1 cup oats plain.

                    11:30am - 2 scoops weigh

1pm - 10oz Turkey breast, 1 sweet potato, lettuce, green beans, carrot slices.

2:30pm - Salad with lettuce, green pepper, 1 can tuna, oil n vinegar, pinch of blue cheese (not the salad dressing shit)

3:00pm - this was my off day from gym so I usually do about 45 minutes of abb exercises.

                    4:00pm - 2 scoops whey, 1 banana, 1 cup oats in a shake.

6:00pm - Ate some more turkey breast probably 8oz, and 2 tbls natural peanut butter.

8:00pm - about to cook 1 lb. ground beef with some hot salsa.

I would suggest that you eat the same thing in the same amounts at the same time for a minimum of two weeks. Then , you will be able to see if your diet is working. The BMR helps but it isnt perfect. Your weight is going to fluctuate a few pounds day to day. Like I said, if you make a plan that you can honestly follow and then weigh yourslef at the same time every day (I do it when I brush my teeth before bed) and log it you can see if you are making any kind of progress.

The second meal plan I posted is what I usually stick with. The first one is what I usually stick with on my rest days. I see what you're saying though that weight fluctuates... I guess I'm just used to a huge increase and decrease from cycles.
