  • 50/35/15 ratio

What are your thoughts on trying to cut on a ratio of 50/35/15?

I have some spreadsheets now and tracked what I ate today and was shocked to see how far off I was from some things when I thought I was eating fairly well. I'm going to take the next few days and try to get myself to that ratio and then set out some plans to start off on Monday. Just curious what everyone thinks about using that ratio before hand.

    Thanks

Is that P/C/F? What's your height and weight, what is your goal

Yes shibby, P/C/F, sorry about leaving that out.

I'm 6'2" 228lbs. 25 years old. BMR came out to 3690.9 using YJ's formula and 3467 using a spreadsheet from another site. I am setting my current goal for my diet to begin on Monday at 3200cals (roughly 400/120/125). I have typically been doing about 30 min. of cardio, post workout, on the eliptical at a heart rate range of 140-155.

My goal at this time is to lose the bodyfat in my stomach and then change the diet around and do a clean bulk diet.

        Well sh!t.

I just looked into some things and it looks like what I was trying for comes out to Protein at 50%, Carb at 15%, Fat at 35% going off the values they gave to shoot for. Is this correct or should the fat and carb levels be swapped?

Right now I have it mapped out at 400 grams of Protein, 121 grams of Carbs, 125 grams of fat going off another BMR spreadsheet from the AR website. Is this right or am I wrong? Any help to get this figured out would be appreciated.
