  • Alternative carbs...

    So I try to stick to mainly oatmeal, brown rice, and occasionally whole wheat bread for my carbs. Every once in a while I am in a hurry and I dont really feel like taking cold rice in my car with me. For those times when I cant really get to brown rice or oatmeal ive been eating Sun-Chips and Quaker Rice Cakes for carbs. Both seem to be low in sugar. Sun-Chips is made with whole grain, and the rice cakes are made with whole grain brown rice. Are these acceptable in a clean diet?

    Sun-chips = not so good.

    How about sweet potatoes? You can make a batch up and just grab them as needed.

        Ya I would skip the sun-chips. That is junk food bro. You cant take the wheat bread in the car? Also like blm said, may seem stupid but the sweet potatoe baby food is good shit and it can be taken on the go.

          I pretty much stopped making sweet potatoes and have stocked up on baby food, lol. Ironic huh.

          You take those things anywhere and just slam em down when you need to.

                2 of the plastic containers = 1 whole sweet potatoe. they come in packs of 4.

                  so 50cents a sweet potatoe and u can take em to go. pretty nice deal. how many sweet potatoes is good to have with a meal, ballpark. (forgive me i have never eaten sweet potatoes so i dont know if people usually eat 1, 2, 3, etc.

                          brown rice, oatmeal, sweet potatoes, and veggies are the only carbs I touch. I don't even like to eat wheat bread. No bread at all for me.

                            Hood makes a cottage cheese with pineapple. Though fruit is basically sugar It tastes great and I burn it off easily
