Insulin resistance can be treated by what you are doing - exercise and a good diet that is low in simple sugars.
Chromium is thought to help like somebody said, and also cinnamon.
You might look into a supplement at the grocery store that is for diabetics.
But the main thing is exercise and a diet high in lean meats, veggies, and some complex carbs. Keep it up!
As for grams to moles conversion - try reading this

Is it me or is than math brutal?

        If I'm converting a pmol/l measurement I'm looking for how many grams/l
        and thne converting to ng/dl?

I'm getting silly numbers when I try. is pmol the same as a mole?

no a picomole is much smaller than a mole.
you move your decimal place over one for each of the following:
deci, centi, milli, micro, nano, pico
so that so one mole is equal to 1 million picomoles.

            with 34pmol/l

            34x10(-6)[288.47] = gm/l

So that gets me .00980798g/l using the equation listed?

            which is 980ng/l

and then 98ng/dl? That doesn't sound right to me given that my measurement was listed in the 'normal' range

normal total testosterone levels are around 300-1000 ng/dL (same as above)
normal free testosterone levels are 50-210 pg/mL (much less circulating)

the conversion you are looking for is 288.5 grams of testosterone/mole

something is not working out right because
34pmol/L converts to 10pg/mL which is definitely too low, not even normal.
but your range of normal of 30-87pmol/L for a 30 year old would convert to 9-25pg/mL which is not right.
the normal free testosterone level in pmol/L should be about 170-280pmol/L.

              so something is not right.
              either your units...or my brain.
              :)
              likely my brain

yep, you and i are getting the same numbers - 98ng/dl (or 100ng/dL is what I got, only I put it in pg/mL which is 10).....
                i can't explain it
                but something is wrong

youre using too much water, I mix regular oats and water one to one (a cup of each) with a scoop and a half of ON protein (about 30 grams). It comes out the perfect consistency to chug all at once. One possibility is you might need a better blender to chop the oats more.

At least I know my math is still good, it's been a while :D

I don't know about Drs they give you some numbers and tell you your fine, but don't explain them. I actually had to educate my gp on steroids and their possible side effects.

I've taken some water out and added a banana and it's gotten a lot better. I do need a better blender though. Any reccomendations?

just go to target or one of those stores. any new blender should do the job fine.

                          about 20%

on 500mg Test E in week 3 (40mg dbol ED for another week), it's my first real cycle

I'm not eating enough I don't think, but I'd like to get a little leaner as I bulk, which I know is damn near impossible. My goal for the cycle is to be a big as possible and end at about 16% or so...lower would be great, but I'm not expecting miracles. I've always had trouble staying lean, but it's been easier to get big.

                          The diet.

                          7am
2 scoops ON whey with water and 2/3 cup oats.

                          10am
chicken/pork (i measure in gm, but it works out to 50g protein)
                          1/2 cup br rice

                          1pm
                          chicken/pork
                          veggies

                          4pm
                          2 scoops ON
                          30g complex carb powder

                          Workout.

                          PWO shake
                          2 scoops ON
                          30g complex carb powder

                          7pm
                          chicken/steak
veggies w/ 2 tbs olive oil.
I'd go for at least 3 scoops of ON pwo and you need more healthy fats.

thats around 70 some grams of protein. i think 50 grams is enough. as you know the most important thing post workout is replacing muscle glycogen. protein comes second and i think 70 grams would just go to waste.

50 grams is plenty for a teenage girl after gymnastics practice. A 240 lb male needs 70-75 grams minimum after weight training. Even if it went to waste, what is that, .40 cents maybe?

well i suppose i am a teenage girl after gymnastics then. :P we have had this debate before. i feel that 50 grams of protein post workout is optimal. then about an hour later a meal containing 50 grams of protein.
