you guys cannot even be for real. lol. i can drink 15 protein shakes a day and i would still be fucking starving.

it wouldn't be very expensive because you wouldn't have to buy whole food.

Well, what if you just didn't eat meat and used protein shakes/tofu as a substitute for protein, but you ate other foods like greens/carbs. I thought there were vegetarian bodybuildiers out there.

thats what I would say and that is what I belive. I never tryed to just drink shakes all day everyday. you would probably need to drink 30 of them a day. I can drink a shake and feel just as hungry right after. that would be cool if some one tryed it just for are own knowledge

agreed, anyone want to give it a try and keep a diary? would be pretty damn interesting if someone did it and did it honestly.

                        I have actually done tis.......sorta

I once had to work 12 hours shifts for 3 days straight at my old job, and i would eat 2 whole meals a day and the rest was protein shakes and bars every hour, basically.

I had stomach pain, heavy gas, and i shitted like 6 times a day
My stomach rumbled and growled every 30 mins, and sometimes they got real intense that i had to sit down.

The shit looked like Reese's Puffs and they were in small amounts, obviously some thing was not right, once i got back into eatin naturally u feel soo much better

So f u guys want, try it and best of luck to ya

Ya man i know, and the thing is u don't feel like workin out cuz ur stomach is hurtin constantly
I did work out on the 3rd day, but in the middle of my workout i had to shit, so it sucked.

During those 3 days i lost maybe 2 lbs, its really not healthy becuz ur depriving ur body of nutrients. Ur body does not absorb all the supplements becuz our bodies r made to absorb natural foods.
Think about it: As a new born and as a child, u were given whole foods to eat: Chicken, rice, vege's, peanuts, almonds, etc..........even present time
Ur body is used to it, and f u change it up to nothin buy supplements ur body sees that as foreign and will not absorb the full potential

Bottom line is i don't recommend tis to anyway, just eat whole foods wit a shake thrown in here or there.

Fuck that, I was talking about not eating any whole food protein. I would still eat whole food carbs and fats. I don't want to go to the hospital...

The question here is not just what protein is the best, but what does it come packaged with. There is a lot of protein in a slab of prime rib, but it comes tightly packaged with a lot of fat which slows absorption and can constitute wasted space and wasted calories. Choosing sources of protein that don't automatically come packaged with fat is a good idea, and then you can add healthy fats in the form of nuts, avocados, olive and seed oils, etc.

Ostrich meat is a good choice because it is very low in fat. Venison, game meat and grass fed beef or buffalo is also low in fat, and what fat there is tends to be "healthier fat" with better ratios.

Whey is a rapidly absorbed protein, which is sometimes good and sometimes bad, depending on what your current needs are and what else you take the whey with.

Technically if the question you are asking is about optimal protein for building human muscle, soylent green might well be the answer. ;)
