So I found my wok again! I had forgot how badass this thing was! I have been cooking everything with it. Chicken, beef, even scrambled eggs this morning! It is super super fast to cook and to clean up. I chopped up a chicken breast and cooked that mother fucker in less than 5 minutes. Damn I love this thing. If you dont have one, definately go out and get one they are really convenient.

I usually use just a little olive oil with chicken. But for any type of ground beef or chopped steak its own juices work well enough. Great non-stick surface for cleaning. Made scrambled eggs this morning with no kind of oil, spray, butter or anything and it was completely free of any egg residue after 15 seconds of scrubbing it with a sponge.Originally posted by SonofBone View PostHow do you cook in it? Do you have to use oil when you cook w/it?
Another good thing is they cook so fast and they cool off so fast when you turn em off. I could be cooking at 350 degrees, turn it off, and it will be cool to the touch in less than 2 minutes.

Just got done cookin my dinner in the Wok. Chopped up a chicken breast, threw it in with 1 tblspn olive oil and a little bit of Ms. Dash sodium-free marinade. Cooked it up and threw in some broccolli and spinach. Cooked my instant brown rice in the microwave. Mixed em all together on a plate and put on some low fat italian dressing... Good stuff and it took a total of like 10 minutes.
FB I've never given anyone negative rep except Rado. PMing you now...

Sounds good. I have a non-electric one. I seasoned it w/olive oil & used it one time. Then I washed the damn thing and didn't season it again & the fucker rusted. Now, it smells like some nasty iron shit.Originally posted by THE BOUNCER View Postgrinder, you have to get a real wok bro. screw the electric shit.
sonofbone, wok cooking is all about very high heat and cooking it quick. it seals in the flavor and you get a grill type flavor. going to do some stir fry tonight.
Maybe I can find a stainless or aluminum one so that rust doesn't happen again. Also, sounds like you can get by w/little or no oil, so I'll give it a shot that way too.

I always use just a few drops of EVOO for everything but I have done it without oil before too and it does well at collecting the meat's natural juices and cooking it in that.Originally posted by SonofBone View PostSounds good. your not really supposed to wash it like you would a regular pan. just a wet cloth or paper towel while it is still hot.Originally posted by SonofBone View PostSounds good. I have a non-electric one.
