  • Top Round anyone?

This is how I buy my beef unless I get lean ground beef. Anyone else get this from Costco? Seems pretty lean and you can't beat the prices. Right at around $3 per pound of beef is amazing. Just cut it into 6-8 oz pieces and freeze it all.

What other cuts of beef do you buy that won't break the bank??

The whole grass fed cow. Which I kill and chop up and stick in the freezer. Cheaper by the pound than Costco beef, and healthier too.

I hate the quality of the Top Round. I think it tastes like crap. I'd rather spend a few more dollars and get something that tastes good.

Getting delicious grass fed beef for about $2 per pound of mostly boneless high quality cuts is pretty cool. You can call it weird if you want to. I call it cheap and tasty, and I don't mind putting in a day's work a couple times a year to make it happen.

I 2nd that I'm not into slaughtering cows. If I knew how bad they stunk before they were dead I wouldn't want to eat them.

I cube it and then marinate it for about 3 days...takes the edge off it, lol.
