  • Indulgence for a cheat day

    2 wild duck breasts.
    Fresh pineapple spears
    Mesquite or maple bacon slices
    1 or 2 Jalepenos split lengthwise with seeds removed-(thems peppers for you yankee types) nah, they ain't hot, go ahead and use em both.
    Wild onions (store bought green onions or scallions will do in a pinch)

    Season duck breasts with seasoned salt and pepper.
    Lay pineapple and pepper slices on the bottom of the breast.
    Lay onion slices on top of breast and secure the whole mess with toothpicks. Grill over mesquite coals (or charcoal if you must) outside under the stars. A blazing campfire, cold beer, and a little mexican music in the background is needed for this meal to be properly prepared. Cook unti bacon is almost crispy {There's the protein part}

    Serve with butternut squash. Split squash in halves. Sprinke with fresh chopped pineapple and a little brown sugar. Cover with foil and throw on fire for about an hour. {There's the veggies and some simple carbs}

    Also serve with Whole grain and brown rice. {There's the complex carbs}

    Don't forget a bottle of Merlot {There's the......well remember this is a cheat meal}

    When cheat meal is completed proper ettiquete dictates that any remaining wine anywhere in camp or the house be consumed by the fire with a good cigar.

    Next Day: After hangover has diminished considerably attempt to move iron followed by twice your normal amount of cardio.

    Thank me later
