Just do what's best for you bro - just like other things in my life I have goals in this sport but you'll never catch me running the doses I know are run. If that means it takes me ten times as long to get where I want to be or never actually getting there I'm cool with that - just isn't worth it to me. I can win *trophys* doing other things with my life. If it turns out doing what some people I know do is absolutely necessary to win then I'll move elsewhere and just keep working out/eating right to stay in shape :)

On another note - I know a few guys who have contracts that have told me "off the record" that what they eat now and how they used to eat is WAY different - almost backwards from what we know to be *best*

Almost the complete opposite - of what we do but like I said - don't wanna try it myself...

Much higher fat ratios/much less protein/carbs still in the middle somewhere but basically upside down from what we're familiar with - the way it was explained to me was that the massive amounts of GH/Insulin/GRAMS of Test/GRAMS of EQ and whatever else they're filling their bodies with simply does the work - basically altering their genetics from what I can gather - don't ask me to explain though because I didn't ask much else - they weren't too talkative about it as it was :(

I'm just speculating that they can't possibly eat 5 times the amount we do even though they're basiclally 5 times bigger - I reckon the drugs themselves play a HUGE role when they get to doses like that...

i think the dude was blowing smoke up your ass myself. i train with top NPC guys and pro's alike. my best friend and training partner is a top 5 national level competitor. all the guys i know follow the same rules that we follow. no magic tricks. here in jersey, everyone including myself are pretty much following palumbo guidelines in terms of diet etc...

your point about more drugs is spot on though. a pro that everyone knows from the mags etc.. told me i could do some damage if i increased my dosages and added in compounds. he laughed when i told him what i was running. what scared me a bit was his attitude towards drugs. 1 gram of this and 1 gram of that, he spoke about those dosages as if they were nothing at all.

i prefer amature (NPC) bodybuilding myself. the world of pro bodybuilding is simply to dirty. i think most "fans" of pro bodybuilding would feel the same way if they saw what truly went into becoming a pro and being a pro. its not in any way respectable, healthy, or the way i want to live.

              after.

usually the next question is, "do you have a PWO shake before cardio."

the answer is no, i train then go right into cardio and then the shake.

im so used to doing cardio first thing in the morning :D, i wonder if doing cardio in the morning and then training after your first meal would yield different results

cardio in the morning on an empty stomach or cardio immediately after a workout are = in effectiveness.

I don't think the guy had any reason to blow smoke - I simply asked him how he was getting away with what he was eating and not being worried about his physique suffering - he explained briefly that his guy had him on a high fat/moderate protein/carb diet - something that sounded almost like 50% fat and 25%/25% of the other stuff. Made it sound like because of the drugs his body needed the excessive calories he simply wouldn't be *able* to consume if he wasn't getting the caloric content of fat...

Idk bro - maybe he is out of the norm but he too spoke of drugs in a fashion that made me sick. Sounded like he was taking in over 6 or 7 GRAMS of stuff in any given week - 3 or 4 of test, a gram or 2 of EQ and a gram or 2 of Tren not to mention some orals I can't recall....

He was also running HIGH doses of slin and GH......

Definitely agree with your last paragraph though - makes me want to tell less and less people what I am learning by getting to know some of these guys....

ahh, i thought you were saying that this guy was saying that he basically eats garbage all day and just relys on the drugs. drug certainly help but you cant be eating cookie dough and salami no matter what drugs you are on. :P

Lol - not at all - just that his nutrient ratios were way different than anything I have ever run across...

I'm anxious to hear what bigscott has to say about all of this though - he's either been there himself and/or knows more folks than I do who have - maybe he'll chime in about the drug aspect of it....

you have that laid out pretty good "B" But one question, what is this diet doing for you? I assume cutting?
I could just copy your diet, we are close enough in weight but I wonder with my training if I would still loose muscle?

So what do you think should I copy it? It is also close in numbers (cals, carbs, ect) to what I was doing.
If you say yes how long should I try it for?

try it out if you want. if you see results in the mirror then keep following it. if you put on fat adjust it a bit, cut the carbs a bit etc.. its all about changing things up if something isnt working. people get to comfortable with things.
