  • How much protein can you absorb in a meal?

Forgive me if I am presenting this in the wrong way, but how much protein can your body actually use from one meal? Looking at what many of you are eating, you're taking in huge amounts of protein. But even though I cannot give you a source, I know that I have also read that a body can only use about 25 grams of protein from any one meal.

    Just kinda wonderin, ya know?

it depends on a few things. how muscular you are, how big of a person you are, if you are using steroids, insulin, etc...

on average though, the average person trying to put on muscle eats around 40-50 grams of protein per meal.

The way I see it you're trying to make the body do something it normally wouldn't so you have to give it the excess to let it know that it has the materials to build.

Personal trial and error... if you're extremely gassy for a few hours after your intake, you're probably taking in a bit too much protein. At least this method has worked for me for years.

think of a gas tank. you think the car will somehow use more fuel if you over fill the tank and the gas goes all over the ground etc?
