  • PWO Insulin Levels

I know that when you have a pwo shake with some simple carbs with it, it boosts ur insulin level, but would insulin only be spiked after you work out because of the sugar intake or are they just naturally higher after a workout?

If they aren't higher after a workout, is that why keto diets work and you dont actually store that fat thats in your pwo shake (like 2 tbs natural pb w/ ur whey)? Does that fat (from the pb) get put to work directly/immediately into muscle repairing?

If i were to take ON whey pwo, which has 3g carbs per scoop, and a couple tbs peanut butter instead of a simple carb, would that 6g be too much and raise my insulin levels to the point where the fat is getting stored? Is it only optimal to have fats in ur pwo shake if ur on a keto diet?

Any answers/opinions are appreciated, but please try to give some backup to the answer since my objective is to understand it, Thanks :)

you are making things way to complicated.

if you are on a no carb diet, PB and whey is fine for PWO. if not, have carbs PWO. malto, dextrose, etc..
