  • Easy chicken recipes....

    Every 3 days or so I take a bag of frozen chicken breasts (4 pounds) and boil them in a big pot. They go from frozen to cooked in about 30 -40 minutes. I'm usually just watching TV or whatever during this time so I don't really pay attention to how long it takes. Once they're cooked I dump them in a collander (the bowl with the holes in it) and run cold water over them. Then I shred them (just pulling them apart with my hands) and put them in a big ziploc bag or tupperware container. I now have enough pre-cooked chicken to last me for about 3 days. Guys, I've been bodybuilding for 14 years and this is the quickest, easiest way I've come up with to cook a large amount of chicken at once and have it not be dry. I don't just eat it boiled though (I guess you could, but I've never even tried that). These are the recipes I use:

    Chicken and barbecue sauce: Put a handful of pre-cooked chicken in a bowl. Squirt some barbecue sauce in there. Mix it up and microwave.

    Chicken and Ramen: Microwave a cup-o-noodles. Dump it into a bowl and add your chicken. Microwave for another minute.

    Chicken chili: Mix black or red beans, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, pre-cooked chicken and chili seasoning in a skillet or pot and heat.

    Chicken noodle soup: Add pre-cooked chicken to a can of chicken noodle soup and heat

    Italian chicken: Put your pre-cooked chicken in a skillet. Add a little olive oil and some italian seasoning and garlic salt. stir-fry. Eat with Tomato Bruschetta.

    Chicken soft tacos: Stir-fry pre-cooked chicken with a little oil and some taco seasoning. Eat with salsa and tortillas.

    Chicken omelette: Eggs, pre-cooked chicken, mushrooms, cheese, onions, scrambled in a skillet.

    I think you get the idea.

          I made chicken curry - fucked it up tasted like horse shit: went with something easier in the pot -

          * 2 quarts water
          * 8 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
          * 1/2 teaspoon salt
          * 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
          * 1 teaspoon garlic powder
          * 2 tablespoons dried parsley
          * 1 tablespoon onion powder
          * 5 cubes chicken bouillon
          * 3 tablespoons olive oil
          * 1 onion, chopped
          * 3 cloves garlic, chopped
          * 1 (16 ounce) jar chunky salsa
          * 2 (14.5 ounce) cans peeled and diced tomatoes
          * 1 (14.5 ounce) can whole peeled tomatoes
          * 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
          * 3 tablespoons chili powder
          * 1 (15 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained
          * 2 (16 ounce) cans chili beans, undrained
          * 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream

          DIRECTIONS

          1. In a large pot over medium heat, combine water, chicken, salt, pepper, garlic powder, parsley, onion powder and bouillon cubes. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer 1 hour, or until chicken juices run clear. Remove chicken, reserve broth. Shred chicken.
          2. In a large pot over medium heat, cook onion and garlic in olive oil until slightly browned. Stir in salsa, diced tomatoes, whole tomatoes, tomato soup, chili powder, corn, chili beans, sour cream, shredded chicken and 5 cups broth. Simmer 30 minutes.

                I just marinate like 3lbs of chicken for a day, put some steak shake on it, cook it in some corningware covered for an hour at 360 degrees. Delicious tender chicken.

                  so I boiled about 8 breasts from the kirkland cosco package and did as control said above, then shredded them and put them in tupperware box in fridge, works perfect, pull them out as you need and and them to cooked rice or whatever microwave for 1 1/2 mins and done, suculent healthy chicken

                      haha no shit, fuck ill never make this...
                      seems overkill the several different tomato cans and salsa... 5 bullions cubes way too much sodium.

                      low sodium chicken stock
                      drop the salsa
                      4 cans crushed tomatoes

                          BBQ sauce has a lot of sodium in it as well. Any brands with lower sodium anybody know of?

                            Throw that chicken on the smoker.... and make all kids of stuff with it later during the week.. the smoked flavor gives it a good change of pace. sunday afternoon with nothing going on Fire up the smoker and cook up a bunch... Then you can actually freeze it for use later if ya want too.

                            I do that with wild turkey, Ducks, kingfish and deer meat too.
