    Do any chain stores carry malto or dextrose so I can avoid paying more for shipping than the actual product? Thanks

      Just eat some apple jacks or fruity pebbles, any sweetened cereal works fine. Buying malto or dextrose is just a waste of money and a scam by sellers of the stuff.

        Hey Liftsiron, I have been adding malto to my PWO shakes. So a bowl of frosted flakes would work just as well?

          a scam by your measures. i buy malto because i only want malto in my PWO carb source, i dont want trisodium phosphate, canola oil, ditilled monosacerides, and a whole host of other shit in my PWO meal that is in cereal.

          its like saying whey isolate is a scam because it only has a pure source of protein when you can go buy some cheap ass protein with a bunch of fillers and shit in it.

          disagree with you 100%.

              I hit very low bodyfat levels on a regular basis have won my class numerous times at state and regional levels, have won several overall masters titles and took second at the North Americans in the masters, that what my diet has done done for me, how about you?

                Hell yes, unless your pre comp, I find all this dextrose and maltodextrin crap laughable, surar post workout is sugar plain and simple. Do you think that your body really cares if it's frosted flakes or dextrose?

                      How do you figure:) You mixed apples and oranges cereal is pretty much simple carbs, bringing Mickey D's into the conversation just isn't the same thing because you get about 80% fat with your protein. I eat fruity pebbles post workout especially when cutting for the sanity factor of getting something sweet and tasty. I use a whey and water mixture instead of milk. I also use a ton of fat free dairy when cutting, which a lot of people say is a no no?

                        No all sugar with the exception of fructose is metabolized exactly the same, fats and proteins eaten at the same time will slow absorption is all. Starch is metabolized the same as sugar, just a slightly longer chain, but starch is quickly broken down and metabolized as simple sugar. Case in point chew on white bread or soda crackers long enough and they will taste sweet because you have enough of the enzyme that converts starch to sugar in your saliva.

                          i understand that lifts. i understand the science behind people drinking coke after a work out, corn syrup is dextrose etc..

                          my argument is that buying the pure form of dextrose or malto which is very cheap, is not a scam. i would rather use pure malto and isolate then fruity pebbles and protein concentrate.

                            you eat a banana and i drink pure dextrose. who do you think will get a slin spike faster? :)

                              OK buying maltodextrin for a reasonable price is cool, but I have seen it crazy priced at the local GNC. Yeah scam wasn't the right word I was looking for.
