So, both of my bosses at work are vegetarians.
My direct boss asked me to do her BF a couple of weeks ago. Mind you- she has been training to do a marathon that's coming up this Sunday. So, I did it- and it came out to be 20%....
I guess I was just really surprised. Then my other boss who is a vegetarian also, but drinks maybe one protein shake a day is what I call a "skinny fat person"....very thin, but has quite a bit of cheese....Now, granted she is going to be 39 next week.
That being said, none of them lift weights- they both obviously just do cardio. Which leads me to my next question, would they even be able to build any muscle since they eat such little amounts of proteins? Do the benefits of not eating meat or poultry outweigh the vanity of looking good? I mean, you're not ingesting the hormones administered, or the pesticides & processing that the corn goes through that they feed the animals.
Can you have a happy medium? Buy grass fed, and natural chicken, beef, turkey, eggs, etc?
