  • How much does your diet affect your lifts?

On Mondays I work nights and my job and I lift at about 4pm. This means I am a meal short of my normal amount of calories before my lift. My chest lifts always feel like the suck now.

i run out of gas halfway through all my training right now

breathing burns the amount of carbs i take in at this point i can still push heavy weights but run out of steam as i make my way through my workouts so all heavy movements are done first while i have the energy -- then the rest of my training is done on pure drive of wanting to look a certain way and refusing to give in because i feel like the building sits on my shoulders -

hell i went hypo at the 20 minute mark during my second session of cardio tonight still had 40 minutes to go -- i stayed the course till my 60 minutes was total i felt like i was going to pass out . my wife kept close eye on me she could tell i was pretty hypo . if you have ever gone hypo before you shake uncontrolably sweat like you were swimming and turn white as a ghost not a nice feeling ! well that and you can die if you dont bring your levels back up lol

my wife kept saying we have a mortgage to pay ha ha ha ha ha - its just the way i am wired . i set a goal and dont stop till i get to it !!! its going to cost me one day

Do you find that your lifting weight suffers though? I guess not considering your recent post? Must be all mental. Its just monday chest lifts are pissing me off because I know I could do better.

alot of it is mental but if you dont have the calories on a regular basis it will grab strength over time -

best thing for you to do is spread the missing calories out through the meals you can eat before training so you dont lack in amount of calories comsumed !

it will keep your strength up and mind focused on the lifting end of things

I agree fully. Make the best of your preworkout meal on those days and it should help considerably

Agreed I have worked out first thing in the morning on an empty stomach to accelerate fat burning. My workouts sucked to the extent that the little boost in fat loss wasn't worth it to me. For years now I look forward to preworkout nutrition.
