My BF% is steadily climbing over the past year. (I will be the first to admit that the diet isn't "perfect", but it is very solid during the week. I will post it up when I have a few minutes) I do cardio a few mornings a week before breakfast, and my gym sessions 3-4 times a week on the days where I don't have to go to the 2nd job. Basically, M-F from 8-5 I am sitting in a cubicle, and I am miserable. I just feel like no matter how clean my diet is, I can't do enough in the hours I workout a week to remedy that. Should I be eating any carbs during these hours of inactivity since I'm not using any energy?

your body is still using energy just sitting there. just cut your carbs for your last 2 meals.Originally posted by The_Grinder View PostMy BF% is steadily climbing over the past year. Well, I will give my $0.02.
I think if you are lifting and doing cardio you are seeing more activity than you think. If you are lifting and doing cardio you are probably seeing 100 minutes of activity on top of what your body needs just to sustain its fat ass sitting in a chair. :D So, You are more active than you think. I might not over think ur diet and micro-manage everyday. I dont do cardio any lifting/cardio on Sudnay and its my day off. Its the only day where my diet varies really from the norm. Only carbs pre- my 2pm meal

Thanks guys. The issue is, I have my 9 hours of inactivity, and then my gym sessions are at 5:30PM, so my dinner needs to have some brown rice, sweet potato, etc. I cant in good conscience have no carbs for my last 2 or 3 meals if i work out at 5:30 and go to bed at 11 can I? So should I take out the carbs sometime during the day?Last edited by The_Grinder; 12-06-09, 04:52 PM.
