I know its good if taking slin and sometimes for pwo but besides those what do you guys use it for? My friend just gave me a 2pound tub of the stuff which will last forever,is there a point in putting it in all my shakes while Im bulking?

Yes your right there but yes it will make you fatter if taken as extra carbs instead of replacing carbs. Personally I like to eat food containing carbs post workout instead of taking my carbs as dex or other powdered sugar. I think the research shows that dextrose is taken up preferentially for replacing muscle glycogen, while sucrose, fructose, etc. tend to be absorbed to replace liver glycogen.
Since the purpose of the PWO carb intake is to replace MUSCLE glycogen, I think dextrose is superior to sucrose, fructose, etc. for this purpose.
I also agree on the point that excessive consumption of either will turn in to fat.
