    who actuall uses one?
Well I just started and I have been wrong for awhile on what I thought was 8oz of chicken. My 8oz was closer to 6oz. I should of been using this all along.
at least I cant fuck up my 1 cup of brown rice pasta.

i always do for my chicken and meats etc..

especially when you buy flank steak by the lbs and you have to cut it up and separate it into ziplock bags. i would be lost without it.

when it comes to things like rice etc.. i dont use it. i measure in cups for that sort of thing.

I use to weigh it at the beginning. Over the years you know what 6oz of chicken is. So no need for it anymore.

          no you dont.

no way in shit you can guess the ounces of each and every chicken breast.

i will pull out a chicken breast all the time and say to myself "eh this is about 7 ounces i bet". i put it on the scale and its fucken 5 ounces etc.. the difference in protein there is huge.

if you have 3 chicken meals per day and each one is off by an ounce or 2 you are shorting yourself 30-40 grams of protein per day. over a week thats around 245 grams of protein. do that for months and months and you see my point.

Yes i agree to your last point. I have been cutting my chicken constantly over the past few years. Only am I off by 1-2oz occasionally.

Since i started cutting my chicken thinner and cooking it differently, I started using my scale.
