agree 100 percentOriginally posted by wnabeabeast View PostGot your pm bro and if you are doing the the diet as your are saying you are ok as far as food goes but what you are missing is cardio bro. Post #16 you said you do cardio only once a week and thats not enough brother. You have to add cardio in fact I know it's gonna sound to much but I say you should do 30mins of cardio in the morning and 30 mins in the evening. And remember fat burning cardio is like cooking rice(slow heat) DO NOT jump on some cardio machine and go nuts. My favorite is stationary bike just sit there and pedal slowly watch tv check out the girls but don't let your HR get past your 70% of max bpm. I know everyone is different but for the 90% of the population fat loss is not possible without the proper cardio workout.

Also, there is a science to carb cycling. It is not simply low carb for 6 days and then have some vague notion of increased carbs on the 7th day. Scott may have better inputs since he competes, but when I carb cycled, there were lots of details to consider like types of carbs, how to transition from the low carb to the high carb state, etc. etc. for maximum benefits.

for carb days, its nothing but complex carbs. In the morning its 3 pieces of multigrain bread.Originally posted by Scrumhalf View PostAlso, there is a science to carb cycling. Pre-workout its 4-5 cups of brown rice and a large sweet potato.
Post workout its about 1 cup of basmati rice
and i continue to eat rice, chicken, and vege's all day
Friday's i also head to my VW/Audi car meet. So i have shakes with myself and when 11pm-12am hits i hit up McDonalds to get Angus burgers and quarter pounders. Sleep around 3-4am and wake up at noon.
Thing is i end up shitting EVERYTHING and i will weigh less than the Friday morning. Start my regular diet back up Saturday and i am still at 219-220lb lol

Really?? Way too many carbs for one meal.Originally posted by dna9488 View PostPre-workout its 4-5 cups of brown rice and a large sweet potato.
I understand the science behind carb cycling but never did it. I keep it very simple. You should know how may calories you need to gain/maintain/lose weight. Same foods just more or less calories.

yea man you have no idea how much carbs i eat pre-workout. It gives me a lot of energy. Before it was 2-3 cups of brown rice with 1 large sweet potato and after a week i no longer had the energy wanted. 4-5 cups and a large sweet potato really do the trickOriginally posted by Chadd77 View PostReally?? I'd puke that shit up in a second doing any core exercises, that's insane amount of carbs - how long before are you eating that ?Originally posted by dna9488 View Postyea man you have no idea how much carbs i eat pre-workout. I stick w/steak n moderate dose of carbs preworkout. Like my red meat before I lift.

When you do your carb load do you measure how much you take in that day? If you don't you should. Since you are trying to get lean I wouldn't pass 400 grams a day(about 2 grams per pound of your body weight) and you should do it only once a week not twice. You gonna have to suck it buddy. :D

I carb load only on Friday's, no other days. I'll start measuring, I just started doing it a few weeks ago. Still playing around and seeing what works.Originally posted by wnabeabeast View PostWhen you do your carb load do you measure how much you take in that day? If you don't you should. Regardless, no matter what day it is, I get in a large carb meal pre-workout.

You got to cut that shit out bro. I don't care who says what when you are cutting you shouldn't exceed the allowed carbs per given day(in your case I say stay 150grams plus your post shake)Only time you are allowed to have a big carb intake like that is post workout not pre.Last edited by wnabeabeast; 10-23-10, 05:43 PM.

post? What? If I don't have a large carb meal pre-workout i am done for. no energy, no nothing. Post workout, I don't touch carbs, all my carbs are in my shake in the form of malto-dextrin. The only time i eat carbs post-workout are on my carb cycling days (Friday).Originally posted by wnabeabeast View PostNo wonder you still got a fat ass. :D
