    First my stats:


    34 years old
    5'11
    275
    BF About 18%

    I would like to get down to about 10% body fat
    I eat 6 meals a day now. one is a whey shake. How many calories should i be at and how much carbs.

    I also doing about 30 min cardio a day.

    Good post man.

    Your diet should be high protein, low carbs, and mid fats.

    Don't be afraid to throw in a 7th meal if you have to. You need to calculate your BMR and adjust your diet so your total calorie intake is less than what you burn in a day. Over time, theoretically you should lose weight.

    Remember that proteins aren't stored as fat unless its your only source of food. Carbs and Fats will be stored if you eat them in excess.
    Thus, with each meal try to eat a healthy fat so your body doesn't use protein as energy.

      Should i not eat carbs with a good fat in a meal. For my carbs i am mostly eating brown rice. I read somewhere to eat protein with fats, and carbs with protein.

      This is what i am doing now

      Meal 1, 8 eggs whites, with oatmeal
      Meal 2, either 8 0z of fish or chicken with brown rice
      Meal 3 8 oz lean beef, should i not eat carbs here
      Meal 4 Same as meal 2
      Meal 5 same as meal 2 and 4
      Meal 6 before bed whey shake.

      Before workout what meal do u recomened.

        Carbs have their role, especially in breakfast. Than again pre-workout meal, unless your breakfast is your pre-workout meal. than you jump up the carbs.

        Meal 2, eat it your fish or chicken with some greens
        Meal 3, eat that with a handful of almonds instead of carbs
        Meal 4, eat the same as meal 2
        Meal 5, Same as before, greens with protein
        meal 6, no whey. You need casein protein that is slow digesting, or eat cottage cheese.

        here is my diet that I have been on since May 2010. I am still on it. I weighed at 248lbs and now i am at 219lbs. Even with these restrictions I am gettin stronger in the gym. Lifting heavier and getting fantastic results.

          I eat 1.25 cups of brown rice pasta in every meal along with 6 oz of chicken,fish,bison ect. so I would add in carbs on meal 3

          how much carbs do you eat per serving? do you use a scale to weigh your meats?

            yes i use a scale and i have the boil in a bag, brown rice. I think thats 2 cups maybe. lol

              thats alot of carbs. I am only 240lbs though you might need more?

                u think i need more carbs each meal, after that bag is done boiling it seems like alot of rice. So i should eat carbs each meal what about before bed.

                  NO I dont think you need more than 2 cups i ment You might need more than my 1.25 cups. I find it hard to belive that you would need 2 cups but shit i dont know you and what you do day in and day out?

                  I personaly eat carbs (brown rice pasta) in every meal when dieting. when not dieting like now i try and eat double stuff oreos in ever meal,lol

                    Id get a measuring scoop and try 1 cup cooked rice in ever meal for a few weeks to a month and see what happens. as said i used 1.25 cups but was doing insane cardio training for a MMA fight I just had. that along with 8oz meat and some veggies is alot of food every 3 hours
