  • This Might Sound Like A Dumb Question

OK i am trying to get all this dieting stuff down. So If this is a dumb question im sorry.

I was just reading a comment By Bouncer saying to lose weigh you have to burn more calories than You eat. Ok so if i eat say 3000 calories a day how the hell am I going to burn 4000 calories in 1 day. I do cardio 40 minutes a day, Walking keep my target rate at 123. And its about 400 calories plus when i am weight training thats another couple hundred. So how the hell am i going to burn that many calories in one day. I am looking to lose fat not muscle. Thank Guys for the help

Yeah that was dumb. If you are trying to loose weight why would you eat 4000 calories a day? Eat 2000 and do your cardio and shit.

You didn't take into account how many cals your body burns to just keep you alive, digest food, brain, etc...

The average person will burn around 2000 cals doing nothing at all.

eric you have to take account in your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate)

There are numerous websites out there that will calculate it for you. Your goal is to eat just below that number. Its a good idea to eat healthy and achieve that goal rather than junk food and have a sloppy body.

With cardio and training added in, this will just add to your calories burned a day
