  • Right diet

    I need to figure out some things about nutrition. First off my goal is losing weight I was 250 and now I'm down to 221 lbs. I'm training with a friend on here but we are totally different like he said his diet is not what I need. I'm getting a gram of protien per pound of body weight every day but not sure how much carbs I should be taking in, calories, fat, etc.. I'm 5'10 21 years old been lifting about 4 months. I've cut out all the junk food and trying to eat clean just not sure how much of what.

      Choose your food as if you are a diabetic. I think that's the easiest way to start eating right. Sugar will mess up your diet more than anything. Don't be scared of fat either. Fat good, Sugar bad. You know you are eating enough calories when your weight starts to increase. It should increase slowly because muscle takes time. Personally, I don't think you need to count calories or grams of carbs, etc to the nth degree... as if microscopic detail is the magic bullet. For an ordinary person, you can tell by the mirror, the scale, and your clothing sizes. My two cents...Other than that, you should consult the experts.
