  • Antioxidants and Aging

Most of us dream to look young forever. Some dream to find the fountain of youth while some gobble plenty of medicines everyday for the same. A few dab cream on their face to look young and beautiful. The craze to maintain youthful looks is simply inescapable.

Aging is a slow and continuous process that is natural and cannot be stopped. Although there is nothing that would turn an old person to a young person, eating greens, dried nuts, fresh fruits and veggies everyday would help a person to stay healthy. Besides giving up of junk foods such as jellybeans, wafers, cookies, and beer are essential. Thus, eating fresh vegetables and fruits and keeping away from junk foods would stall ageing.

Bright colored fruits and vegetables such as spinach, melons, tomatoes, red bell peppers, mangoes and more are loaded with anti-oxidants. It has been found that anti-oxidants contain compound that effectively fight the free radicals in the body and minimize the influence of oxidative stresses. Thus fruits and vegetables could help a lot to slow down ageing. Above all, foods that are high in anti-oxidants could work wonders in slowing the effects of ageing.
