  • Better protien bars - thoughts

    Need2buildmuscle owner/designer/chef/celebrity/entrepreneur Nathan Chase decide to create a better than average protein bar. In that quest, he wanted a very filling and nutrient dense bar, not simply something that met the needs of today’s latest craze. He created simple packaging, and when it arrived, needed only 10 minutes of my time and a few pantry ingredients. That’s it. A simple, quick, tasty and very economical approach to snack time.

    Ingredients;
    “Whey Protein, Oatmeal, Wheat Germ, Sliced Almonds, Cranberries, Raisins and Organic Sour Apple Powder. ”

    to make them you add;

    Peanut Butter, Honey and Water

    Make as follows

        I make my own. It’s a little high in fat due to the pb but it’s good. I used a couple different recipes from this site and came up with this. It is good! The consistency doesn’t get to where you are able to cut it into bars. I throw some in a tupperware dish for work and then eat it with a spoon. If you have a sweet tooth this will definitely help!

        3 c dry oats
        2 c natty pb (1 jar)
        3 tbs honey
        1 c fat free low/no sugar yogurt
        8 scoops vanilla whey protein
        1 cup milk
        2 tsp vanilla extract
        Splenda
        Raisins
        Cinnamon

        mix wet ingredients in one bowl, slowly stir dry ingredients.. press into a 9 x 13 pan, and refrigerate.

                        agreed
                        Theres a flaw is in the way there made / processed and theres no was around it. The homemade bar recipe would go bad before it hit the shelf. They cant sell you that...
                        I believe all protein bars shit - full of chemicals, processed ingredients, and hydrogenated oils or trans fats. THats Not exactly the best choice for bb'lding. so yeah its better than McDonalds but except if for what it is... low quality and a poor choice

                          I guess it's high in sugar if you ate it all in one sitting. Not much sugar per serving.

                            so how much protein is in a little serving?

                            see what i mean. either you eat enough to get the amount of protein you need. or you eat a little to avoid a large serving of sugar and dont get enough protein.

                            if you have to add a ton of protein powder to the mix i am sure it ruins the taste and thus making the whole project a waste. :retard:
