  • Am I on to something with Carbonated water?

So I started drinking carbonated spring water here and there. Drank a lot of it when I was sick because it felt good cutting all the gunk in my throat with the carbonation.

I noticed a few things about it though that got me thinking maybe I am on to something.

#1. I notice when I drink it with or after a big meal like a cheat meal, after like an hour my stomach is not bloated at all and I dont feel like a pig like I would had I not drank it with the carbonated water.

#2. Pardon my french but my shits are bigger.

Both of those things seem to have something to do with digestion and if my feeling is right, the enhancement of digestion.

Try it for yourself, just get a 12 pack of carbonated spring water and drink it with your meals for a few days, tell me your stomach doesnt feel tighter and you arent "emptied out" better.

Captain and diet is carbonated, with the bonus of the drunk factor. I recommend doubles.

Explain. It became popular for bodybuilders? When was this? What exactly is it for? I don't know what you are saying with short non descriptive responses bro.

Sodium bicarbonate has been used for a hundred years or more to treat indigestion.

You're probably getting a similar effect from the seltzer/sparkling water.

Isn't that more about heart burn/ acid reflux?

I am talking more about digestion of food.

Yes but if it's helping to reduce bloating and neutralize acid then it will also subsequently speed proper digestion.

Your shits are just bigger because you're full of shit.

Isn't acid a big part of proper digestion though? If you neutralize acid wouldnt it then be ineffective at aiding in digestion?

Yes it is, but only in the proper amount.

The bicarb is acting as a buffer, lowering the acidity to acceptable levels.
