  • 60 grams protien per serving/meal?

Since I'm on test and masteron is this plausible, I feel I need more protien but can't always make six times a day and certainly can't consistently get more than six meals in

Fine. I eat 50-60 grams every meal

Shouldn't be a problem. Studies have shown that the commonly held belief that we can only process 50g or whatever of protein at a time is bunk.

I think your body will assimilate as much protein as you give it, provided you work up to that amount.

Going from 25g of protein/meal to 100g of protein/meal overnight would cause me indegestion but taking a couple weeks to work up to that is fine for me.

And you better be getting your six meals minimum homie I'd kill to be "on" and eating 7x/day.

I would have to say there is a limit somewhere but I think 50-60g per meal is fine.

Hold on here, are you saying that as long as you work up to it you can eat 200 grams of protein per meal for 6 meals and your body will use that?

LOL my fault. IMO there is a ceiling. IDK what that is but I would guess around 100g/meal. May be more may be less but I believe we can assimilate much more than 50-60g/meal if we work up to it.

Lately, I've been taking in around 3300 calories or so and about 150 grams of protein. Probably not enough protein, but I haven't been using protein powder at all. Starting Monday I'm gonna add a couple scoops of protein powder to my diet and see how that goes.

I have to question whether 100 grams of protein per meal is necessary. That seems extreme to me.

Is anyone out there eating that much protein? If so, is there any benefit? How's the digestion? Bad gas?

EDIT: I got the 100 grams per meal from an earlier post from Growthman. I know the OP said 60.

if you were in a situation where you could only get in 1 or 2 meals in the day like if you are really busy or camping or some shit, i could see a huge 100 gram or more protein meal being useful.

but in normal situations, 50-60 max

Here is a post from Alan Aragon, one of the most repsected nutrition experts out there. It is good reading. Pay particular attention to the paragraph on those who do intermittent fasting, where they consume all their calories in an 8 hour period, so up to half their daily protein may be consumed in a single meal.

Is there a limit to how much protein the body can use in a single meal? | Wannabebig

Let me pull out a quote:

So, is there a limit to how much protein per meal can be effectively used? Yes there is, but this limit is likely similar to the amount that’s maximally effective in an entire day. What’s the most protein that the body can effectively use in an entire day? The short answer is, a lot more than 20-30 g. The long answer is, it depends on several factors. In most cases it’s not too far from a gram per pound in drug-free trainees, given that adequate total calories are provided.

It's worth re-reading. The maximum protein that's effective in a meal can be a gram per pound. That's a lot of protein, folks. I thik that the bottom line is that whatever is practially possible is probably going to be ok.

That says per day not per meal.

To the other guy 100 grams per meal is ronnie coleman extreme.

Read the article. It says that there does not appear a difference for any practical numbers. 200g per meal, who knows, bit for 30 to 100, no discernable difference.

The takeaway point of course is that for most practical cases, there is no difference.

Yeah, I suppose in a situation like that, you get it in when you can.
