Does anyone drink any of the smoothies that have greens and stuff in them? Not just OJ and strawberry junk, but spinach and carrots mixed with fruit. I assume you could add protein to them, as well?

I have a hard time eating much throughout the day - especially if I have a lot going on. I don't stress eat, I stress not eat. I thought this might work for A meal - not all of them.

    Example recipe -

    Beginner Smoothie

½ cup Simply Orange Orange Juice (I use this brand because it’s 100% juice, and has no preservatives)
    1 medium banana
4 oz Light ‘n Fit Strawberry Yogurt (or flavor of choice)
½ cup baby carrots (about 9)
1.5 cups fresh spinach (or about ½ cup frozen)
    6 strawberries (medium/large)

    Berry Green Smoothie

½ cup Simply Orange Orange Juice
    1 medium banana
    5-6 strawberries (medium to large)
    1 cup frozen broccoli
    ½ cup frozen spinach
1 cup yellow squash (frozen or fresh)

I just did strawberries, blackberries, banana, protein and oj to start. I haven't used protein powder for awhile, and that in itself takes some adjustment.

I do green smoothies. No fruit. Too much sugar for me... I gained a lot of weight drinking blueberry, strawberry, yogurt and oj smoothies back in the day.

My smoothies look something like this:

              1 cucumber (peeled)
              1 cup spinach
              1 cup kale
              1/2 lemon
              3 sticks celery
              small piece of peeled ginger
1 scoop of green vibrance powder

Blend it all up and drink. Doesn't taste all that great, but damn it's healthy.

I don't know if I could jump right in to that thing! I'm going to try one with spinach tomorrow - provided my blender can handle it.

A smoothie - blending all of the fruits and vegetables together.

No, with juicing only the juice is extracted - leaving behind the pulp/fiber/etc of the fruit/veggie. This is blending up the entire thing, with a liquid and either yogurt or protein = smoothie.
