  • Frank's Diet

Keep us updated with progress bro. Remember its a cutting diet so dont go crazy with portion sizes.

Basically what works for me is high protein and carbs and low fat. Keeps you strong in gym, keeps muscles full and waist tight. If i eat much fat i store fat and it bloats me to hell. Give it a try for a few months.

Meal 1: Shake. 2 scoops whey, half cup plain oats, 1 banana, water and ice. blend it up and you good to go.

Meal 2: Chicken and white rice (jasmine, they have 25lb bags at costco). (brown bloats me) Doesnt have to be as boring as it sounds, do your chicken on grill and spice the dish up. hot sauce is my main go to. garlic powder kicks it up also. Portion size for me is 2 chicken breasts and about a cup and half of rice. For you I would cut the rice back to 1 cup per meal.

Meal 3: Same as meal 2 or something similar with protein and carbs and minimal fat.

Meal 4: Steak or fish and rice. I like to grill the steak then cut it up into little pieces and mix in with rice and hot sauce.

Meal 5: Before bed meal. Cottage cheese or a chicken breast or fish. (Some form of slower digesting protein with low fat. Whey protein is not good here.

You prob have a post workout shake so include that in there whenever you workout and adjust for you.

In 3 of those meals include 2-3 fish oil caps as a good source of healthy fat for your body that wont store as fat.

P.S. Feel free to add veggies to meals but be very careful about dressings etc.. tons of junk fat and cals. if you eat a chicken and rice meal and then cover a salad with ranch dressing in completely fucks the whole point. lol.

they have bags of frozen cut veggies at costco. i like to just heat them up and top with salt and pepper.

Good point on the before bed meal. I was doing this wrong for years. Just taking a shake. I'd wake up feeling starved.

Cottage cheese FTW before bed. It is heavy, digests slowly and will keep you feeling satiated so you don't wake up hungry in the middle of the night.

sounds good. Going back on the vegetable part, I recently switched from mixed vege's to boiled green beans, and I purposely under cook them so they have a crisp to it. Makes eating food a little more tastier. I don't add salt or pepper to it.

green vegetable contains fiber, contains anti-oxidants to help your body. Won't kill you, plus adds a little protein in your diet.

When cutting, I get grassfed ground beef, cook it on the stove with frozen spinach and then I'll make a pot of organic white rice. Then I'll just mix them together in small portion sizes and eat 5-6 per day with chipotle tobasco or some type of hot sauce on them and I'll take fish oil with two of the meals and drink hot green tea with coconut oil mixed, in between (coconul oil = healthy fats and keeps me from being hungry).

Boring, I know. But it works and its easy. I don't need food variety when I'm cutting. Just make it simple.

Green vegetables are important. They have antioxidants, vitamins and fiber. No carbs and actually it takes your body more energy to digest them so you burn more calories by simply digesting them. Green veggies with every meal is a win and not the canned shit. Fresh or frozen is best.

while i agree they serve a health benefit, i will also say they dont really serve much of a bodybuilding role. long as you get enough fiber vitamins and minerals from other sources including a multi veggies arent absolutly needed.
