  • Lazy Sunday Casserole

I feel bad making my kids eat so plain all the time, so I'm trying to jazz things up at least a little. Found this recipe - simple to put together and pretty tasty. I used turkey kielbasa to cut the fat.

Yea, they both ate it. Not a favorite, I don't think, but good enough.

Mine is too, but getting better. You have to keep at them to try new things! That's one thing he is good about, at least trying.

Have you ever used fennel before? I didn't put that in mine.

Looks good. What is the nutrition stats on the turkey sausage? How much protein?

i find if i get me kids to drink copious amounts of alcohol they will eat anything.

                  Except their mothers cooking.

Just finished up the remaining leftovers. I liked it, but I will make some changes next time. My pan was a little too big, so some veggies got too brown.

I did use the fennel, but I wouldn't again. Just doesn't add enough for the $3.50 that it cost. Has sort of an onion texture and a small hint of a floral flavor.

Thanks for posting the recipe, always looking for new things to try.

I read that fennel had a licorice flavor, so I didn't want that.

Try that beef stew I just posted!
