  • Nectresse "natural" no calorie sweetner

So sana brought this stuff home the other day and cant really find much online about it besides from the manufacturer which I take with a grain of salt anything they say.

Its supposed to be made from Monk Fruit and its from the makers of splenda. Anyone know anything about it? I think its pretty new.

Not impressed. I'm still a fan of Stevia. That stuff is made from (most likely GMO corn derived) sugar alcohols, sugar and molasses...oh yeah, and monk fruit. Not nearly as natural as they're trying to make it sound. Might as well stick with Splenda, IMO, or, better yet, use Stevia.

I'll have to take your word for that one. Stevia took some getting used to--I'm not even gonna start to try to get used to ass. Yeah, you're right though. It accomplishes the sweetness but has an odd taste. I'm not sure if nectresse is any better than Splenda from a health standpoint. You're right. It's probably too new to have any real objective good info on it.

I'm not saying I don't use Splenda--I got it bulk from Costco--big ass bag of it. It goes well with everything. I figure you gotta die of something, might as well be Splenda....I just use Stevia when I'm feeling organic!
