  • Basmati Rice VS Brown Long Grain

I'm curious to know everyone's thoughts on Basmati White Rice VS Brown Long Grain Rice in terms of insulin spike and the possibility of Basmati White not being the correct choice over Brown rice while cutting.

For years my daily carb consumption has included mainly Brown Rice and some Oats and yams but I'm sick of killing my Brown rice with Franks Red hot sauce just to get it down.

I want to switch to Basmati White as I love that shit and can eat it plain with my chicken and veggies.

I should mention that the majority of my carb consumption comes from rice at all hours of the day.

Doesn't make any difference. Eat what works for you and don't worry about it. People agonize over shit like this but IMO it makes very little practical difference.

Doesn't matter, all I eat is white. Brown bloats the fuck outta me. You will notice no difference in terms of results.

I switched to Basmati rice immediately after the feedback and the only thing I really notice is the fact that I'm able to consume almost double my regular serving at each meal as I can't get full from this shit.

I guess it's due to the rate at which the rice digests at?

It has a lot less fiber and is not starchy at all which is why it doesn't come out all sticky like Chinese rice). That's why you don't feel as full.

forget the basmati, taste like shit. jasmin white taste so much better, is more satisfying to eat and goes better with chicken and hot sauce!

is AWESOME!. I normally fry an egg with some ginger and onions then a little salt, pepper, and sugar. Toss with soy sauce and garnish with fresh chopped carrots. Best breakfast ever

I do jasmine brown rice outta my preference in texture. I don't think it makes a difference. Both deliver the protein.

no. you should not be counting the "protein" in rice. it's an incomplete protein. rice is a source of carbs and that's it.
