  • PWO Nutrition at night

I'm looking for some advise with regards to PWO nutrition when training late in the day. I'm tightening up my diet as the summer approaches, same as always, but the difference this year is for the first time I'm training around 8pm as opposed to 5:30pm. My concern is, will the PWO carbs I consume between 9 and 9:30pm hinder my fat loss as I will be heading to bed shortly after (10pm)

My PWO nutrition consists of a 60g isolate protein shake (isoflex) and a white bagel with jam. Sometimes I replace the bagel with vitargo if I'm feeling rich as that shit is expensive as fuck! Any advice or direction is appreciated.

Bro, the whole "fast carbs after a workout" thing looks great on paper but it just doesnt matter in my and many others real world experience.

i switched from protein powder and grape juice to chicken and rice at first and then chicken and oats now. made the switch almost a year ago and i look a lot better now.

you dont need fast carbs and especially at night. get your protein in and have it with some oats or a yam etc..

The only reason I still drink a shake after my workout is because I just don't feel up to eating a solid meal.

Protein and some healthy fat BEFORE bed seem to HELP.

I like almonds and a shake before bed.

The problem is, although almonds and a shake may be a good snack before bed I don't think it's a good PWO meal. I'm basically training, PWO meal and going to bed. I started have a half cup of basmati rice and a chicken breast with a bit of franks red hot. See what happens...

                  This.

Choke down a cup or two of cottage cheese and you are done.
