  • 100% Grape Juice

Went to Costco the other day and decided to get it since its natural sugar comes from the fruit. Holy fuck I literally just about drank half the bottle lol. The juices we buy of other flavors are natural too just different brand, flavors. I'm really impressed by this juice.

I'm sure it tastes great, but fruit juices are a bad choice when trying to stay lean!

^ I drink it post workout with some creatine. Why do you say it is a bad choice when trying to stay lean?

I gave up the whole fruit juice high carbs PWO thing along time ago. Looks great on paper to "replenish glycogen stores" but in real word trial an error it just doesn't make any difference. i just have chicken and oats now.

with that said, to say "fruit juices are bad if you are trying to stay lean" is just stupid. getting lean is about calories in vs calories out. if your burning more then your taking in you will get lean. simple as that.

You got the same results as eating chicken and oats?

Yup. Its one of those things you convince yourself the juice is making a difference because every article and everyone is saying that's the thing to do.

same here I dropped the "PWO" shake and carbs a long time ago for real food. I found it made no difference. If anything the food is better.

If you get the same results I'd much rather drink a shake and juice. So much easier for me than eating chicken and oats. I'm never hungry immediately following a workout. And then have my meal about an hour or so after.

for a while I did both shake immediately after and meal 1hr later.

After a workout it would be fine. Other than that it gives too much of an estrogen spike. Which over time would cause some kind of water retention.

So after a workout it doesn't cause a spike in estrogen levels but any other time it does. Makes sense. lol
