  • Homemade Protein Pancakes

If anyone is looking for a new protein pancake recipe, this is the one you need to try! This recipe is very tasty, yet addicting!

    1 cup of oats
1 cup of cottage cheese (fat free, 1%, or 4%, whatever you desire)
5 egg whites and 1 full egg
    1 tablespoon of cinnamon
    1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Put all in a blender then you're ready to go. 55 grams of protein in 3 pancakes. You can also add natural peanut butter and sugar free syrup if you'd like!

Let me know what you guys and girls think! I appreciate feedback!

I eat these on the weekends (have more time in the mornings) except I put a scoop of chocolate protein in mine too. I stir it up in a bowl and pour into a pan. I usually drizzle a little bit of honey on them.

Still with the oats and cottage cheese? Is the texture chalky or weird? Are the oats instant?

I use whole grain oats. If I didn't add a scoop of protein the pancakes would be way too runny. Not sure how you would flip them. The cottage cheese keeps them moist but they are a tad bit dry. I love them. Been eating them for many years. You can put some fresh berries on top too. Even my 2yr old eats them with me in the morning. :)

It makes a big pancake so to flip them I use the spatchula and cut them in quarters. Much easier to flip that way.

I'll have to give it a whirl with my plant protein. I just get worried about adding protein powder to things because they usually end up crappy and it's a big waste, haha.

Didn't turn out so good... I think I put way too much egg whites

I'm going to have to try these. I've gotten so boring that I'm really contemplating chicken and rice for breakfast lol

I make them all the time. They are awesome.

                            3 egg whites & 1 whole egg
                            1/2 cup of oats
                            1/2 cup of cottage cheese
                            1 scoop of choc protein
                            Sprinkle in some cinnamon

Mix it all up poor into a hot pan. You have to make sure you cook it on very low heat. If you cook it too fast the bottom gets dark brown and the top is too mushy to flip. Like I said above, I cut it into quarters to flip. Drizzle some honey on them or fresh berries. Good stuff!

This may be stupid, but wouldn't cooking it without all-purpose flour and baking powder make this more like eggs than pancakes? What am I missing? I did just that and it tastes like eggs mixed w oats.
