I never even knew such a thing existed, but after some research I found one very close to my home. I joined their farm (you have to pay a membership fee to join a CSA) to see how I'd like it. I prefer to eat organic produce and only buy organic milk for my children. I haven't really crossed over to being strict on meats, because WOW, I don't know if I can afford it.
It's a really good way to try out a variety of fruits and vegetables that you may not normally eat or even think about eating. It's also a way to force more veggies on your family. :whistle Speaking of - does anyone have a good recommendation for cooking swiss chard?
Anyone else belong to a CSA or co-op?
