  • Skipping last meal

I eat 6x/day, every 3 hrs from waking. My last meal is before bed, usually 1 egg and 5-6 egg whites, or maybe a double egg protein shake. I've been doing this as it has been slow adding muscle naturally, and whether true or not, the thought of me losing 1 gram of muscle while sleeping is too much.

Now that I am supplementing with AAS - I do not need to worry about this any longer, correct? And if I was interested in reducing daily caloric intake to speed along fat loss, this last meal could be eliminated while on cycle without fear of losing any gains, right?

Well I mean, correct in that steroids will make it easier for you to gain but you could get even better reaults by keeping that meal in!

Ok - but I've gotta cut some cals somewhere right now - my BMR is 2150. I have a 600-900/day burn in gym 6 days/week. I'm currently taking in 2000 cal/day food. Another -250 a day is what I would like to cut - just for a month. I am doing this cycle to preserve muscle while I drop BF. I've been cutting throughout the day - breakfast/snack/lunch and been ravenous by night. Was just wondering if I could cut that last meal completely and leave others how they are - accomplish the same thing - but I'd be going 12 hrs without food - will the gear hold on to the muscle going that long every day without eating - considering I'm at a big deficit already (but still 300g protein / day)?

Is my logic making sense? Am I fucking over-thinking this? :)

You are not going to lose muscle because you sleep for 12 hours without food. That's just broscience. The body's metabolism is on like a 72 hour time constant. If you starve for 3 days, then yes, your body may start using your muscle for energy, but ditch your last meal if you need to and sleep well. You won't shrink overnight.

OK. I have been on the same diet/training regimen for 7 weeks now. Weeks 1-6 lost 1.1% BF/week with varying muscle gains. Started this cycle of test/deca/dbol 1 week into this regimen. You guys posted up the advice 10 days ago. I took it and am reporting back - I made 2 changes: threw out the 6 even spaced meals, and just made my focus hitting my same macro targets when I wanted, with the caveat of no carbs after 3p. The other change was skipping the last protein shake before bed, which was egg protein 48g Protein = 200 cals.

For the week of Sep 18 - Sep 24 ( I get a body analysis on Tuesday mornings) - with SAME exercise and only changes noted above, I lost 2% BF and gained .53 lbs lean mass. My ICW also went up and my ECW went down.

I'm sure this is partially the deca kicking in - but I just need a few weeks like this and I am golden.

            Props Bouncer and Scrum!

Good to hear, man! It's all about hitting your macros... people sometimes miss the forest for the trees.
