  • Fasting = bigger,leaner, fuller...?

So basically I ate very little on Friday and Saturday. I was probably 1500 cals under what I normally would eat on my clean eating days. Pretty much lived on Capt and Diet coke and the occasional vita coco in between to keep from cramping up.

Not only did my abs look brutal shredded, my veins were swollen to hell and my muscles looked much fuller. The last part is what I dont get. I can understand looking shredded because of dehydration and less food but muscles looking fuller then the days I am eating all my carbs and protein just seems like the opposite of what should happen.

Yesterday I pigged out and now everything is back to normal but for those 2 days I seriously looked like I upped the hormona dose by a 3rd. Interesting the way the body reacts sometimes.

I no longer buy into that six meal a day routine. Still keep the protein high with very little carbs.

I'm still playing around with the intermittent fasting and am really liking the results thus far. Staying lean and don't feel like I'm chained to my kitchen all day. I'm not trying to be the biggest guy in the gym by any means but staying lean and making some gains along the way.

IF does not mean eat fewer calories. You just eat all your calories in a shorter period, say 7-8 hours and then you fast for the rest of the day. Not too hard to do if you skip breakfast and do all your eating between say noon and 8pm. And it might be actually more satisfying - after all who prefers 8 300calorie meals when you can have 4 600calorie meals?

Oh, gotcha. Guess I do kinda do that then.lol. Just protein shake/gainer for breakfast then big ass meal before work(midnite shift) then another 2000 calories worth of food and shake after work before bed. Snack a little in between that but life's too busy to eat 6 meals a day for me right now...

I was actually talking about a day or 2 having like half the amount of cals I normally do. I wake up and my abs look like they could cut someone and my muscles look fucken pumped.

It is related to inflammation. Intermittent fasting reduced inflammation in a big way.
