My breakfast 90 % of the time consists of 2-3 handfuls of spinach or kale, a handful of coleslaw shreds, 1/4 cup blueberries, lemon flavoring or crystal light 1-1/2 cups of egg whites. I currently use the cheap GNC blender to blend it together. It is about done. What is the preferred blender of everyone? I am considering the nutribullett, ninja, vitamix.

I have a Ninja and it would work perfect for what you've mentioned. It's not a $25 Hamilton Beach, and it doesn't involve spending $600 on a Vitamix or Blendtec. The one I have came with extra smoothie cups that you can blend with (instead of using the big pitcher) and they have a lid so they double as your drinking glass. Those work perfect for my shakes.

lol vitamix not $600. i have one, it was like $250 a couple years ago. it really does blend in a different way then the cheaper stuff ive owned. there is never shit at the bottom of the cup. the cheaper ones will leave a ton of finely blended oatmeal at the bottom, not the case with vita mix.

I usually just eat my oats the traditional way. Ive had 4 of the "bullet" type blenders. They work pretty good as long as you blend for 2-3 min. The biggest problem is the rubber gasket that seals it sux. They break within a couple of months. Shit goes everywhere without it. Ill probably bite the bullet and go with the vitamix. I think Im gonna start blending oats too. Im buying into the whole foods, no supplements thing. Blending makes it so much easier.

I have went through a handful of them because I use them so much but I like the Magic Bullett real well but I'm only using it for protein/MRP/ carb drinks.Originally posted by speedracer59 View PostMy breakfast 90 % of the time consists of 2-3 handfuls of spinach or kale, a handful of coleslaw shreds, 1/4 cup blueberries, lemon flavoring or crystal light 1-1/2 cups of egg whites. The new one they are selling at my Costco cost $299 saw it today. Maybe its a cheap version I dunno.Originally posted by FitnessBrat View PostThere are absolutely Vitamix blenders over $600. I used to blend my oats to almost powder in my Ninja, so it definitely works for that - although the OP never mentioned oats in his shakes anyway. :)
