  • Convenience foods that fit our lifestyle.

So this thread is about food that fits the healthy/bodybuilding lifestyle that is also very easy to prepare. Feel free to add your own ideas/finds.

Target has these 2 cup serving bags of cooked and flavored rice. All you have to do is warm them up or you can eat cold if needed. I love em, they taste good and they aren't loaded with a bunch of fat. 40 grams of carbs per cup.

Canned chicken is another one I use especially during the whole moving process, came in really handy. 45 grams of protein per can, no fat. When I was in the process of moving I would just mix it with one those greek yogurt dressings I posted about and mix some craisens in with it. Taste like a kicked up chicken salad.

So tonight for example I'm going to mix the canned chicken with the rice and some sloppy joe sauce. Will take about 5 minutes to make. Granted these things are high in sodium but sodium is something I need plenty of or else I cramp to hell. The sloppy joe sauce also has no fat. All about protein and carbs for me.

And if you are really really in a rush or traveling etc..

My go to emergency "healthy" meal is McDonald's Grilled chicken classic hold the mayo with a few sides of BBQ sauce or ketchup. I get 2. With a diet coke of course. :P

50 Grams of protein, 75 grams carbs. Minimal Fat.

When I travel I carry ostrim snack sticks, those little gel packs of muscle pharm protein and some bars. I like Quest bars. They taste good, good protein source, 200 cals about 6 grams of fat 20 grams of protein and 20ish carb 17-25 grams of fiber.Emerald 100 calorie almond packs

They're even better on their mini breakfast rolls.
