I have cut out almost all processed foods from my diet, I like canned sardines and anchovies too much to take them out, and my sodium intake has decreased dramatically.

lol, a can of sardines or anchovies is probably more than the daily recommended intake for sodium

sodium isn't the enemy. especially for those of us who workout hard and sweat it all out. cut to much out and you'll be a cramping mess.

Actually the sodium intake is only 572mg per can.

I have had a problem throughout my life from cramping so now I take a couple 595mg potassium gluconate supplements every day and about 1000mg of taurine and make sure if I sweat a lot to add a little salt to my water.

When I was a senior in high school my girlfriend broke up with me and I like to work out when I get upset. It was in the middle of the summer and around 100 degrees out. I went on a fast paced 6-7 mile run and then played some basketball with my friends for about an hour or so. I got home, stepped out of my car and both my hamstrings and both my quads cramped up. I was laying on the carport immobilized until my uncle looked outside, saw my car was home but I was not and went out to investigate where I was.

I guess I should do some research on how much sodium I should be taking in if I am sweating a lot and monitoring it better.
