Ok real question. How many calories do you think it takes to maintain 400lbs on a very active individual?

The rule of thumb has always been 14-16 kcal per lb of bodyweight for a person doing moderate/intense activity. So, maintenance for a 400lb individual would be at most in the 6000 kcal range. 15K lol...

So if that is the case what we he have to gain by making a fake video grocery shopping and cooking giant pots of food and lying about what he eats? If he's eating 3.5 pounds of meat a day he's almost got that many calories from meat alone.

Attention. You underestimate peoples desire for it.

Chuck I challenge you to eat 1/3 of that for 1 week straight. Just try it. 7000 cals every day for a week. You will soon realize it's impossible for more then a day or 2 at most.

Nah I'm good bro, I'm not nearly that big lol. Food for thought though, this year's hot dog eating champion consumed 69 hot dogs with buns in one sitting and dude is less than 200lbs. That's 16k calories. They practice weekly to get to that level and cannot vomit it back up without tearing up their esophogous. I think we under estimate what it takes going up the weight ladder. I don't think it is a linear line but more of a curve. Call me simple but I believe that guy is getting at least 10k a day and maybe he has hit as many as 15-20k.

Hotdog competition eaters don't eat 16k cals day in and day out.

Try eating 1/4th of 20k cals for 7 days. You'll see the insanity of it all. Daily 5k cals is tough itself.

No but they do have to maintain a high weekly load to keep the stomach stretched leading up to the competition. They starve themselves before hand but they generally aren't big guys either.

That's a false comparison anyway. What a hotdog eater does in one of their competitions isn't maintenance eating. It's a one time thing, and they have trained their stomachs to be able to expand way beyond a normal person's stomach to accommodate all that food. They probably don't anything for the next 3 days. Most of the eating champs aren't 400 lbs either. Kobayashi was like a buck forty tops.

Well my point is if a light weight can do it in 10 min who's to say a super heavy weight can't close to it over 24hrs day in day out.

Chuck, he's just putting out a sensationalist video. I would like to see him, on camera, eat 15000 kcal even once. I bet he'll puke his guts our before he gets to 10000.

We all know that won't happen so feel free to call me gullible and be a skeptic while I take him for his word and we can put another one of our seemingly more frequent disagreements behind us.
