  • Nutritionist receptionist

The more I research information on nutrition the more questions I have. Because of this I decided to make an appointment with a nutritionist. As I was processing in the medical tech that was getting my information had a horrible cold, and we were confined to a small room. You would think since we are in a hospital she would wear a mask or something.

How much protein do you all eat per lbs of bodyweight?

A nutritionist will tell you the average man needs about 60 grams of protein.

Agreed with FB. Unless you suspect an endocrine malfunction or allergy symptoms, I think going to a nutritionist is a waste of time. Their advice is going to be geared to the average Joe and has little to no relevance to a lifter or athlete.

And they are always going to use the DRI.

Avid, I would shoot for 1-1.5 g per lb of bodyweight. That's a good rule of thumb.

He was saying for an athlete you should have 1.5g per/kg. So for me that would be 190g.

That's not too far of of 1g per/lbs of lean body mass I have been doing.

Unless it's free its a waste of time and money. If you followed the exact diet I told you to follow you'd have results in little time.

But you'd rather prolong the experience I guess.

My insurance pays for it :)

But I am keeping it pretty much to how you had it set up. The only change I am making is I'm reducing my fat a little and increasing my carbs a little. He thinks my late night binges are because my body is too low on carbohydrates.

So, I'm trying to eat 2300 calories, 201g of carbs, 230g of protein and 64g of fat.

The binges are will power brother. We all get insane cravings when we are dieting. Its your ability to deal with it properly that will make or break you.

I like ya bro, but you gotta suck it up and say fuck you to the cravings!
