Do you all have any suggestions on some low sodium seasonings. I was seasoning my eggs, rice, chicken ect. with soy sauce or Franks Red Hot; I am now switching from Franks to Sriracha. The reason I ask is that I just changed my micro count on My Fitness Pal to Sodium and I am taking in 4kmg-5kmg of sodium a day! I sweat a lot so I am wanting to keep it around 2500mg.

Soy sauce is the worst, Frank's is good to use....I use Frank's all the time.
Many seasonings are filled with sodium. I rarely use reg salt and opt for sea salt instead. And btw, that's a shit load of sodium, regardless of the sweats.
Sweating that much, you should worry about potassium. If you need sodium for the sweating, get some light Gatorade.

That is why I am trying to get some ideas on some good low sodium seasoning that you guys use, to get my consumption around 2500mg a day. I did not realize how much sodium Franks has and soy sauce has though I knew soy sauce had a lot but I did not realize the extent of its sodium saturation. As far as potassium, I think I am doing well on that front. I am keeping around 3500mg +- 200mg a day.Last edited by AvidFisherman; 11-30-15, 01:59 PM.
