  • Getting back to clean eating is hard after a season of junk.

I think I can relate a little to the average fat ass who has a hard time getting on a "diet" or sticking to one.

Since October I've been eating a combo of clean foods with extra junk thrown in with the goal to put on some size and weight. Now that the Winter season is ending in NorCal I'm starting to clean up the diet again to be pool/beach ready by late spring.

When you eat clean for a long time you really start to look forward to your meals and genuinely enjoy them. But now that I've gotten used to extra junk I'm having a hard time enjoying my chicken and hot sauce and fucken oats. All I think about while I'm eating chicken and oats is how good a meatball with melted cheese sandwich and ice cream would taste right now. lmao.

I can only imagine how hard it is for people that have eaten that way their entire life and don't have the experience or knowledge to know what eating clean can actually do to your body.

At the end of the day though, the desire to look great at the pool or on the beach is far stronger than my desire to eat that meatball sandwich or bowl of ice cream. It really comes down to that simple concept. You have to make a choice of which is more important to you..

Interestingly enough some people base those choices on their overall health as well, not just how they will look at the pool party ;-)

I hear ya bro and whatever form of inspiration you can use to get you to that goal I say go for it. For me, health is obviously important. Without your health you have nothing but it's not inspiring or exciting in the same way as vanity. A long distance runner is very healthy but nobody gives them a second look.

Well said. It is definitely not easy otherwise everyone would be lean and fit. Sucks that the worst food for your body has to be the best tasting.

          I agree as well.

I love eating clean and when I have my chest days, man is that a fun day for me. However when we went to NYC for a few days and I ate like shit, it made me appreciate my clew food more. Something about eating l Ike shit makes me feel, well like shit.
